FROM HALLOWEEN TO FANTASY
100+ Participants Mostly Kids Bring Color and Creativity to
Baguio Fantasy Parade
BAGUIO CITY, October 25, 2026 - More than 100 participants
are estimated to have joined the Baguio Fantasy Parade along Session Road on
Sunday, showcasing colorful costumes, imaginative characters, and creative
expressions that brought excitement to the city.
The event marked a shift from the originally proposed
Halloween and horror-themed parade following concerns raised by various
sectors.
Notably, representatives from sectors that had previously opposed the Halloween-themed event were also present to monitor the parade and check participants’ costumes to ensure they followed the agreed fantasy theme and contained no Halloween-themed elements. The same representatives were also seen enjoying photo opportunities with the participants, creating moments of interaction despite the earlier concerns surrounding the original event concept.
The event demonstrated how fantasy, artistry, and community
interaction could create shared moments despite differing views surrounding the
original proposal.
From Halloween to Fantasy, Baguio’s celebration took a new
direction, bringing together participants and spectators through creativity and
imagination.
